I thought I might be able to eat half the vegan chocolate fudge cake, and bring the rest with me back from Salt Spring Island to Vancouver to share with my wife. I was wrong.

It truly was exquisite. The velvet texture of the cake. The chocolate cream deliciousness that covered the cake. The deep rich chocolate flavour. The cacao, sprouts and basil garnish. The maple syrup drizzle. After that first bite…I had no control. I ate the whole thing.

And then there is the service. Truly lovely people. Helpful, kind, intuitive.

I’ll be back. Next time I will buy a second piece for my wife.
